In 2023, JumpStart Ventures set a new record, surpassing 100 active companies and investing over $12.5M in 30+ companies in our portfolio. These milestones are a testament to our unwavering commitment to fostering growth and innovation across Ohio. We are excited to partner with these startups as they strive to grow and make a positive impact in their respective industries.

This year has been challenging for venture-backed tech startups due to significant changes in macroeconomic conditions. Startup founders are finding it tougher to secure funding from VCs, and investors have become more selective and cautious. The current state of the VC market signals a period of transition and recalibration. Both investors and founders must approach this landscape with strategic prudence, adaptability and a focus on sustainable, impactful growth. Moving forward, the ability to adapt to these changing dynamics will determine the success of startups and the vitality of the venture capital ecosystem in the coming years.

We have invested in over thirty technology startups this year based on our belief in the determination of Midwest entrepreneurs and their keen understanding of the market. These disruptive startups are revolutionizing various sectors by introducing innovative solutions to enhance customer experiences.

With over $140M under management across four funds, we invest across stages and sectors to ensure founding teams can access the capital they need to move forward and achieve their goals.
